About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and driven Digital Implementation Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to the digital design implementation process. You will gain valuable experience in digital circuit design, physical design, and the RTL-to-GDSII flow, as well as exposure to industry-standard EDA tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Design Implementation: Support the digital design implementation process, including tasks such as synthesis, PnR, and timing analysis

  • Methodology Development: Develop and enhance design flows using scripting languages to streamline design processes and to improve product quality

  • EDA Tool Usage: Gain hands-on experience with EDA tools under the guidance of senior members of the team

  • Collaboration: Work closely with design and release engineering teams to understand the full design process and contribute to ongoing projects

  • Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining design documentation and reports

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field

  • Technical Skills:

    • Understanding of electrical circuits in both transistor and logic gate level

    • Basic understanding of RTL design principles and Verilog HDL language

    • Experience with scripting languages e.g. TCL, Perl, Python is an asset

    • Exposure to digital implementation EDA tools such as Cadence Genus, Innovus is an asset

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Ability to work well both independently and as a team

    • Willingness to learn
